THE „THING“

It makes sense to me to talk about another advanced civilization. It is the advanced civilization of the Sumerians, which developed almost parallel to the empire of the pharaohs. It originated in Mesopotamia, on the banks of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. Attention…! something fluid again…..Two rivers. They mainly flow through the IRAQ and end in the Gulf of Persia. The local stuff is partly done. Now a little bit of geography :

Everyone has probably come across terms like Mesopotamia, Mesopotamia or the „Garden of Eden“? Mesopotamia (German: zwischen den Flüssen) or Mesopotamia refers to the cultural landscape in the Near East that is characterized by the large river systems of the Euphrates and Tigris.

…..Now we get down to business ‼

As already mentioned on the subject of the „Nile“, the challenge of hydraulics arises again, namely the control of flowing waters, which was, after all, the be-all and end-all of the time. I’m thinking of: the early advanced civilizations on the Nile, in Mesopotamia, on the Indus, in China on the Hoang-ho, on the Yellow River, they were able to develop so fantastically because they did very early on what can basically be observed as a global phenomenon on the entire planet Earth:

Whether Homo sapiens living at that time had already mastered „control“ remains to be seen, but

control over all the resources that were necessary to keep the culture alive. The Egyptians built the pyramids, and the Sumerians threw themselves into building their palaces and cities. They also invented the cuneiform script, which is considered to be the origin of our European script. The administration and irrigation systems were very well thought out, which in turn produced a high standard of living, because the trade in pottery and grain flourished, but the domestication of animals was based on breeding, killing, torturing and trading. The domestication of plants came later.

Months ago, I dealt with something quite simple, even discussed it……now, dear readers, I’m going to start talking about this „thing“. Certainly quite unknown ?…but it has been around for a long time.

….Es the invention …..I prefer to say „discovery of the wheel“. Because it’s hard to believe that this „thing“ was valuable for trade back then and is still a goldmine today. Please don’t argue about this discovery ….es oscillates back and forth between the „Sumerians“, Mesopotamia and Central Europe. But archaeological evidence suggests that the „thing“ was probably invented a few hundred years earlier.

All that remains for me to say is: ‼ Whoever came up with the idea, it was another milestone in human history. ‼

With the new „thing“ – real high-tech – it was possible to move loads faster and more easily and over truly greater distances, which meant: ‼ Mankind had become more mobile. ‼

Truly a well-rounded thing. There were many sparsely populated or even unpopulated areas on the planet. These could now be colonized by humans faster, much faster than through natural migration. OK … a real „round thing“. But brace yourselves, because you’ll notice that there’s more to come! The „mobility monsters“ on this planet became faster and faster: humans sailed across the oceans in ships, and eventually circumnavigated the globe in airplanes. Mankind picked up the gears and each time the speed of mobility shifted up a gear. To put it simply, the speed of humanity’s expansion is increasing all the time.

⁉ I have to get something off my chest, because the subject of „airplanes flying around the globe“ appeared in the text. According to the US government, international air traffic consumes more than 1 billion liters of kerosene every day, which corresponds to 11,500 liters per second. ⁉

It’s now time to say something about the years when this development of the wheel started. It was invented sometime between 3,500 and 4,000 BC in Mesopotamia or a little further north, as already mentioned. From the very beginning, man dealt with nature. His experience shows that this is his „counterpart“.

Let us remain very serious in our consideration of becoming human I maintain, as a scientific pioneer, that man is and remains a product of natural evolution, making him a „bioproduct“ in the truest sense of the word. Nevertheless, he is able to imagine nature as a „counterpart“.

I will now point out the aforementioned fact with a few examples. This is downright personalized and given characteristics. Imagine the following situation: The sky is moving, dark black clouds are there. People immediately think that nature must be angry with us. But why is it evil? Surely because it is guaranteed to be unpleasant for us, even dangerous, in the form of thunder and lightning or a torrential downpour. Let’s look at the next scenario: the following sentence is often said or heard again and again: summer stays very hot for a long time: „The land needs water.“ ……actually stupid talk! The land ? – of course we mean the soil – it needs water. Of course, the land doesn’t need anything. I immediately thought, why or why should the land need water? Because we would like flowers, grasses, vegetables, trees and grain to sprout from the „soil“,

It’s the plants that delight our eyes and our minds and often even satisfy our hunger. Two, of course we would like water to come and rain. We humans are always particularly dissatisfied with the situation when it doesn’t rain for a long time. But the land doesn’t need water. Behind the words we use, however, is the idea that the land agrees with us that it is too hot and too dry. This is, of course, complete nonsense. Nature does not know „itself“. Nature knows nothing about „itself“. Please remember that in nature there are no moral categories of good and evil, of bad or less bad. We humans are the ones who look at the world with these categories and say: but that’s not so good, or that’s great, we’d like it to be like that. Because we have something like purposes, visions and hopes. Nature is just there, simply there. Nature, pay attention, is a form of being that is just there. We, on the other hand, want much more than just to be. As a result, humans would like to adjust nature from time to time, only in that case it would no longer be nature as it actually is. One way today and another tomorrow…..

True exploitation is and has also taken place: we take what is in the ground, in the air or in the water and change it for our own purposes. That’s why we have a brain and working thumbs, which means we use all our abilities to make the world behave the way we would like it to (the concert of wishes). Now the development case occurs…..we start to develop technologies that can change this. That is, we are developing a technology that would not have formed by itself because, as almost everyone knows, in nature there is no wheel, no pyramids, no devices that regulate the water up and down. No-these are all technical inventions of ours, we brought them into the world and are doing the same today….

…..And because we like them, because they benefit us, or because we can exercise some kind of power with them. Man as homo faber, as a creative creature, is the real novelty in the world.

OK….what does he do? Man invents new things that never existed before, and the resources that can be extracted from nature play a decisive role and are necessary.

…and what resources are these? They can be raw materials from the ground, they can be water. We use these things, for example, to build what we want. And because we are talking about „will“, I say:

We simply put something into this world that nature itself does not have, namely a „will“. Another way of looking at it is possible, let’s go back to the beginning of life. That’s about four billion years ago and ask: What was the essential difference between an earth without living beings and one with? The difference is that living beings are able to either adapt to external conditions or avoid them. In my opinion, this requires their own „will“.

Nature is on a different „level“, it says I do it in the sense of the earth’s axis ‼ ‼

Has made my statement, ask your CPU…

Attention : …I have already commented on this in a previous blog, OK ?

Cells that are assembled into a membrane,…… of identical atoms would not behave in any way as individual atoms. But they emerge in a certain structure and thus develop properties that enable them, for example, to improve certain concentration increases within a cell and thus maintain cell operation. If they lack this structure, the atoms would not be able to do this. You could also say: I consist of a certain amount of carbon atoms, which could be formed as a briquette, graphite or diamond. But you have to seriously consider that these would be carbon forms that cannot think.

To put it another way: people love diamonds, briquettes have a lot of heat, I’d say better, but neither briquettes nor diamonds can think. They can’t move, they can’t speak. That means that it certainly depends on the structures. I describe man as a phenomenon, more precisely, the stage is nature and man is an incredible self-organizing phenomenon that has developed over many millions of years with various recipes for success and equally recurring feedback mechanisms from the sea of possibilities.

I say again :

this phenomenon makes a huge leap from the sea of natural possibilities into the potential of ?…… technical possibilities ‼ What I have tried to show is what we are now seeing in human history.  In fact, it is an ongoing improvement in the possibilities of how to use natural resources and how to use technical resources. Even people have now become a resource. For me, the answer is that enslavement is taking place! Because everything that we know and experience in the extreme in „today’s“ world started back then. A particularly strong structuring that increases the number of possibilities, but…….ever requires more energy.

We are looking for that certain something that gives us the opportunity to do work. I don’t know many……‼

This actually means nothing other than triggering changes that would not happen by themselves. Because in our nature, all processes only take place if they can happen on their own.

Only we humans can realize processes that would not occur on their own because we order nature, yes, say: mental derangement ‼ We start to bring it into a certain state. A Chinese vase, i.e. Chinese porcelain, would never have formed spontaneously in nature. But a look back shows, for example : The first windmills were built 3,800 years ago in ….. Babylon, in Mesopotamia. The first iron tools were used by the Hittites 3,500 years ago. 200 years later, the pulley works in Egypt and coins come into circulation 2,700 years ago. 2,400 years ago, the first compass shows the cardinal points. The Babylonians used the abacus, an ancient mechanical calculator or game board. The first water pipe system works around 3,000 years ago in Jerusalem. And the spirit level is at least 2,500 years old. The inventions and steps forward on the way to the Anthropocene could be listed endlessly.

I say all these key moments in human history have accelerated our world further and further. …..But is innovative acceleration a good thing…….? Especially when it is initiated by humans… NO……. something very difficult to learn and humans never make it……!‘

Humans,… the last cloacal brood to emerge ……

This small but noble planet in the galaxy called the Milky Way, which is actually reserved for nature, is being executed by them, so to speak, prepared, aligned, in part exactly as they wanted and want it. Man is a truly special killer.

He never understood how to live with nature, he disregarded and never understood it…with consequences ⁉ Because his previous activities, he even thinks they are abilities, have always resulted in the greatest damage.

Our cognitive abilities, which are already wonderfully reflected in the early advanced civilizations, in all the inventions, the manual skills, even in the social structures, are the prerequisites for man to actually subdue the earth in the centuries and millennia to come.

Subduing?….. sounds good, says man at all times!

And the West consistently put this idea into practice. I have to ask: why there in particular?

I’ll now take a look at the mythological cultural worlds, i.e. in Mesopotamia as well as in Egypt, there are gods who are responsible for all sorts of things. Death as well as life, even the course of the stars and the world in general. This is a so-called mythological world view – a myth is always a story with a goal, a meaning – but in the West this myth became something completely different, namely the logos. – human or divine reason; comprehensive meaning; world reason –

….. „I doubt that“…… To pronounce the word „reason“ in the existence of humans seems to me like saying: God likes „curry sausage“ best – he told me that himself!!!

Logos will, nonsense…..,no, has changed mankind to the rational (having to do with the mind, reason) to the emancipation movement !   (liberation from a state of dependence; independence; equality) Please, dear readers, let the words that follow thaw and flow within you and don’t be frightened.  All that it means backfired; one. had forgotten about nature ‼

Moving on, but better or not ? If I let the human head stick out of the territory of possibilities, lo and behold, the individual realized: I have to get out of here. Quickly away. All generations have continued to try to emancipate themselves from NATURE

emancipation, to get out of the natural constraints, to become more independent.

Simply, man did not follow nature but his own will. I prefer to say the personalized parts of nature, because they are reflected as gods in cultures. That’s why I’m willing to say that, with a few exceptions, the whole of human history seems to be a single story of emancipation.

I use this mythological world view and say that humans are no longer animals. However, we know that evolutionarily he is.

By the way, he also does not belong to the gods, to the powers that are responsible for the forces that are active in nature. He also senses that he is neither an animal nor a god. He has the wonderful feeling of how practical it is to be rooted to the ground with both feet, but his head soars to heights that are often far removed from the earthly.

He simply imagines new worlds. The ancient Egyptians were just as good at this as we are today, and they even drew consequences for earthly life from this. The pyramids they built, the tombs of the pharaohs, are nothing other than the idea that when the pharaoh dies on earth, he also needs a tomb and a lot of grave goods that are necessary for his journey and his life in the „other world“ that was believed to exist.  That’s how they wanted to think, reality dictates nature……….hopefully some people know that nowadays ⁉

Back then, 99.9% didn’t know! ….Today perhaps 100%, that’s the impression I get. Belief and knowledge. Over the course of the next few millennia, these two concepts will very slowly move more and more towards people saying: I have nothing against faith, but I prefer knowledge because it corresponds to the truth. I don’t easily surrender to a completely anonymous „God“ created by man himself. Knowledge is particularly to be preferred…..say I…….only almost 8.3 billion people are not so sure.

I say: Western culture is strongly influenced by knowledge and has its roots in a part of the world that is strongly characterized by warm, pleasant climates. Cultural scientists are therefore of the opinion that Greek philosophy was simply a fair-weather phenomenon. Cities on the Greek coasts often had good weather and other conditions that meant that the people there lived very prosperously. They could therefore let their thoughts fly, but not far away. Great „feelings“ were always and I say forever mixed into time, I choose the term „time“ because, after all, people live in it……

But one of the most stupid questions saw the light of day there, or better still emerged:

How can we humans show ourselves to the gods? There was a real desire for recognition and autocracy.

The legends, stories and fairy tales tell us:

We end up back with Prometheus as already mentioned in the first chapters; he allows humans to play with fire. We know that this has often gone wrong and he is severely punished by his fellow gods. Lo and behold, people are now rebelling against the gods. For the first time, people say to the gods: „No, we don’t want that!“ Nowadays, we would say that we don’t feel like it…..’For the gods, this was the fall from grace par excellence. This is the „European“ myth of Prometheus, who says: „We must go on, always go on!“ ….and as it should be, Epimetheus also appears in the same story. He looks back, as he „always“ does ⁉…. The “ mythology poker continues…… we end up with Odysseus. This Odysseus of pure cunning. He literally loves to trick the gods, or rather outwit them! You have to think about it. He just does it unbelievably. But I think that if a god can do anything, he should of course be able to see what tricks Odysseus is up to. But no, in the Odyssey, just like in the Iliad, stories are told about how people suddenly find themselves competing with gods. They try to make deals with them quite suddenly.

Humans try to make the gods compliant. Subdue the earth !!!

I am now enjoying the following terms and ask you to take a stand yourselves……. Sustainability in dealing with nature – ecological crisis – Our current natural science and technology are so permeated by an orthodox Christian arrogance, need for recognition, conceit and arrogance towards nature – Endangered future – The historical connection between the modern environment, destruction and the development of our Western culture determined by the Christian tradition – Masters and owners of nature – etc.

Hello, what is ringing in my ears, where does a loud contradiction come from? Yes, it is

a contradiction to sustainability? …… A clergyman, regional bishop, about 300 years ago he opened his mouth…… the forestry term „sustainability“ was coined. Pay attention, from a forester, because he knew very well that the fruits of his efforts would unfortunately not be enjoyed by himself, nor by his children, but only by his grandchildren. Because note, even in contemporary theology, the concept of „sustainability“ plays a major role in dealing with nature as part of God’s creation. Hear, hear, even theologians can be thought leaders….

But this path has taken immense strength, it was the path of the biblical tradition. this is where it lies. The historical roots have emerged and reveal an „ecological crisis“. Now the previous sentence I mentioned finds its meaning: because current natural science and our current technology are so permeated by an orthodox Christian presumption, conceit, need for recognition and arrogance towards nature that no solution to our ecological crisis can be expected from them alone.“ The historical roots of our ecological crisis, „Endangered future“, is a highly important sentence. Sounds to me like …….It may be an accusation of guilt against the Christian tradition“. I see a historical connection between modern environmental destruction and the development of our Western culture, which was determined by the Christian tradition, because this cannot be disputed.
